WEST SPRINGFIELD – Police are working to link two suspects, arrested Thursday morning on Great Plains Road with what appears to be stolen property, to a series of vehicle break-ins discovered Tuesday night and Wednesday morning in the Tatham Hill Road area.
Police arrested the suspects shortly before 7:20 a.m. after determining that their vehicle matched the description of one spotted during the Tatham Hill Road and upper Beverly Hills Street break-ins. Capt. Daniel Spaulding said.
Police recovered four GPS units, a radar detector and miscellaneous jewelry as well as a glass pipe with what appears to be crack cocaine residue and some Oxycontin pills from the suspects, Spaulding said.
Arrested were: Dmitry Bogomaz, 25, of 116 Prospect St., and Shawn P. Kelly 24, of 46 Plantation Circle, Westfield.. They were both charged with receiving stolen property over $250, possession of burglarious tools and two counts of possession of a Class B substance (crack and Oxycontin).
