WESTFIELD - Police say they have tentatively identified an elderly woman whose lifeless body was found near the train tracks off Lockhouse Road early Monday afternoon.
Capt. Hipolito Nunez said a family member has identified the woman through photographs and that detectives hope to be able to confirm her identity today.
Police have said the cause of death is not known but it does not appear that she was struck by a train. The body was discovered about 12:30 p.m. in an industrial area.
