McCabe serves as patrol captain and supervises the department budget, grants, uniform patrol officers, community police unit, traffic, animal control, domestic violence and reserve officers.

McCabe has served in the department’s only captain position since May 2008 when he replaced Capt. Michael Avonti who retired.
